—— The case, in full

A business offering exclusive water experiences in Ibiza, with the kind of problem you cannot see from the inside: it showed up on Google, but on the searches that don’t book. Visits yes; clients, few.

The challenge

In a market where the decision is made card in hand, sometimes from another country, showing up counts for nothing unless you show up at the exact moment someone is choosing.

What we found

A single page for the whole island, competing against businesses that did name each cove and each type of trip. And above them, the aggregators and booking platforms holding the first page with budget that cannot be matched here.

Diagnosis: absent from the searches that book, no geographic segmentation, saturated competition and thin technical work and content

Three tiers of search

The work was ordered by who searches and from where. Someone already in Ibiza planning tomorrow is not the same as someone in Madrid still choosing an island, or someone searching from Milan or Lyon comparing whole destinations.

Three-tier plan: local by activity and area, national for those still choosing an island, and international in Italian and French with hreflang

The international tier was built with hreflang and with copy written in Italian and French, not machine-translated. A machine-translated listing shows, and on a service at this price, showing means losing the booking.

Where it landed

Results: organic traffic +250%, Top 3 in Spain, Italy and France, and bookings +40%

Top 3 in all three markets and 40% more bookings, over twelve months of work.

What this case teaches

That geographic segmentation isn’t about repeating a place name in more places. It is about understanding that each market arrives with a different question, and answering that one — not the same question three times in three languages.
