Car Rental in Ibiza – Class Rent a Car

Alquiler de Coches en Ibiza – Class Rent a Car

Multilingual web design and multi-domain architecture for a car rental company in Ibiza

At Gecko Studio we developed the new website for Class Rent a Car, a local company with over 20 years of experience renting vehicles in Ibiza. The goal was clear: build a modern, intuitive, optimised platform offering an impeccable experience for both residents and international tourists.

To do that, we implemented a multi-domain structure with an international focus, adapting the digital strategy to each of their main markets:

Each domain includes:

  • Professional translation of all content, adapted to each market.

  • A version per language with content written naturally for each country.

  • Own URL structure and architecture per domain.

  • Content culturally adapted to improve user conversion.

The site was developed in WordPress, integrating a custom platform to manage fleet, availability, rates, extras and bookings easily from the backoffice.

We also added key improvements in:

  • Full responsive design and intuitive mobile navigation

  • Load speed optimised for Core Web Vitals

  • Google Maps integration for office locations

  • Multilingual booking calendar

  • Individual web structure for each domain

More on this topic

Running one domain per market is a real option, and it is the decision most worth thinking through slowly, because it is far easier to start with separate domains than to merge them later.

What separate domains give you is autonomy. Each market can have its own prices, its own terms, its own tone, and a national extension that reads as local rather than foreign — which matters in categories where people are handing over a card deposit to a company they have never met. It also means one market can be redesigned, paused or sold without touching the others.

What they cost is less visible at the start:

  • Every domain starts from nothing. Reputation earned by one is not shared with the next. Four domains means four sites building trust separately.
  • Maintenance multiplies. Certificates, updates, backups, forms, cookie notices and legal pages — four times each, and the one nobody checks is the one that breaks.
  • Content drifts. A price change or a new policy has to land in four places on the same day. Six months in, the versions rarely match.

The alternative — one domain with a folder per language — shares reputation and halves the upkeep, at the cost of feeling less native in each market.

A reasonable rule: separate domains when the markets genuinely differ in price, fleet or law; one domain with language folders when the offer is the same and only the words change. What does not work is deciding it later.
