Boat Rental in Ibiza – Charter en Ibiza

Boat rentals in Ibiza – Charter en Ibiza

Charter en Ibiza rents boats, speedboats and yachts in Ibiza, with and without a licence, for day trips around the island and its coves.

At Gecko Studio we designed and developed their website, built to showcase the fleet and make it easy for travellers to find the right boat for a day around the island. A clear, fast and visual site for a competitive, highly seasonal market.

More on this topic

A charter fleet that runs from small self-drive boats up to crewed yachts looks like one business from the inside — same port, same team, same season. From the outside it is three businesses with three customers who have nothing in common, and putting them on one page serves none of them.

The distance between them is not stylistic, it is an order of magnitude in price and an entirely different decision process:

  • The small unlicensed boat. Booked days ahead or on the spot, by people who want a few hours and a swim. Price-sensitive, decided fast, often from a phone on holiday.
  • The skippered day charter. A group planning one memorable day. They are choosing an itinerary and a boat that fits eight people comfortably, and they want to know what is included — fuel, food, drinks, the skipper's tip.
  • The multi-day yacht. Booked months ahead, frequently through a broker, by someone comparing across islands rather than across companies. The questions are about crew, cabins, contracts and payment schedules.

A single fleet page sorted by size forces all three to scroll past each other's options. Worse, it anchors the wrong expectation in both directions: the day-trip customer sees yacht prices and assumes the company is out of their range, while the yacht client sees small rentals and wonders whether this is a serious operation.

Separating them by type of experience rather than by boat fixes both problems at once, and it has a second benefit that is easy to miss. These three customers search in completely different ways — one searches for a boat without a licence, another for a day trip to a specific cove, the third for a yacht charter by length and week. Three entrances mean three sets of questions can actually be answered, instead of one page trying to be relevant to all of them and reading as generic to each.
